Some viewers claimed to be dissatisfied with the ending of the drama Vigilante (2023), because it was considered hanging. In addition, one of the characters who stole the show, Min Seon Wook, was told to have died.
But, theories spread if the possibility of Min Seon Wook not really died. Is all this just Choi Mi Ryeo’s trick to protect Kim Ji Yong?

Min Seon Wook (Lee Seung Woo) deliberately joined the hooded people to protect Kim Ji Yong (Nam Joo Hyuk). Instead of Kim Ji Yong, Min Seon Wook received a stab from Kim Sam Doo (Yoon Kyung Ho).
The media reported that Min Seon Wook died at the scene as a Vigilante. Even they also made a special funeral, and gave the Prime Minister’s award to Min Seon Wook as the Future Police.
2. But in episode 8, he was still alive when he was brought to the hospital

But in episode 8, Choi Mi Ryeo noticed Min Sun Wook getting into the ambulance. Even then, Min Sun Wook was still semi-conscious, despite enduring pain in the abdomen that was being stopped bleeding by medical staff.
This means that Min Seon Wook did not die at the scene of the crime. However, the audience does not know what happened during the trip to the hospital. Or it could be that Min Seon Wook did die after receiving treatment.
What is clear is that Min Sun Wook was not present at the graduation ceremony along with Kim Ji Yong. Even Kim Ji Yong seems convinced that Min Seon Wook is dead, because he came to visit his friend’s grave.
3. Viewers’ theory, her death was faked by Choi Mi Ryeo so that Kim Ji Yong would be free to act

The audience theorized that Min Sun Wook’s death might have been faked by Choi Mi Ryeo. However, only Choi Mi Ryeo and Jo Heon (Yoo Ji Tae) might know this.
Because Jo Gang Ok (Lee Joon Hyuk) who just realized also just found out the news about Min Seon Wook’s death through the news on television. He and the secretary are also sure that the one who made Min Sun Wook become a Vigilante was Choi Mi Ryeo.
Could it be that Min Seon Wook’s death was faked by Choi Mi Ryeo? The goal is so that Kim Ji Yong can be free to act as a Vigilante, without being suspected again. If it’s true, will Min Seon Wook be part of Vigilante too?
