Jennie BLACKPINK is rumored to have founded a private label called Odd Atelier (OA). The Instagram account @oddatelier, said that Jennie had formed the label since last November.

“OA aka Oddatelier is a space for creating new things that attract attention in different ways. This is a label founded by the artist JENNIE, in November 2023,” read a statement written on one of OA’s Instagram posts, which already has 557 thousand followers.

Jennie BLACKPINK is not the only KPop idol who finally decided to build her own company. There is D.O EXO with SooSoo Company, here is a list of Kpop idols who founded their own agencies in 2023

1. Sunggyu INFINITE

After all of its members left Woollim Entertainment, INFINITE emerged with a new agency called INFINITE Company. The company was founded by the leader, Kim Sung Gyu on January 19, 2023 and focuses on handling INFINITE’s activities.
Shortly after the agency was established, INFINITE made a comeback releasing a new album titled ’13egin’ on June 31, 2023 which marked the 13th anniversary of INFINITE’s debut. Afterward, they also continued group activities by holding the Comeback Again concert at KSPO Dome, Korea.

Next is Jaejoong ex TVXQ who built his own agency called iNKODE on April 4. It is known, Jaejoong debuted as a member of TVXQ for 5 years and formed JYJ with Park Yoo Chu and Kim Junsu under C-JeS Studios for 14 years.
iNKODE was founded by Jaejoong with CEO Noh Hyun Tae, who is a former deputy director of Cube Entertainment. Not yet a year old, the agency now houses a number of artists, such as Woo Joo, Song Ji Woo, and Jeong Si Hyun.

3. Donghae & Eunhyuk Super Junior

Donghae and Eunhyuk Super Junior’s contract with SM Entertainment officially ended on August 31. But in less than a month, the two announced that they had established a joint agency called ODE Entertainment on September 1, 2023.

4. Rocky ex ASTRO

On February 28, Rocky decided to leave ASTRO and Fantagio Entertainment on the grounds that he wanted to focus on a solo career. After that he took a hiatus for a while before finally returning with a private agency called One Fine Day Entertainment on October 26, 2023.

5. D.O EXO

No less stealing the attention is the appearance of EXO’s D.O with his personal agency called SooSoo Company. The agency, which was founded on October 18, 2023, is not managed by D.O himself, but with Nam Kyung Soo, his old manager.
Although he is now active with a new company, D.O remains an active member of EXO with Chanyeol and others.

The latest that is being highlighted is the emergence of Odd Atelier (OA) as Jennie BLACKPINK’s new label. Although only confirmed on Sunday (12/24/2023), OA is said to have been founded since last November.
In a post on OA’s official Instagram account, Jennie directly revealed that she would start a solo career with her new label.
“Hi, this is Jennie. This year has been filled with many achievements, and I am very grateful for all the love I have received. I am very excited about what will happen, when I start my solo journey in 2024 with the company I personally founded called OA,” she said.
