Miss Earth is one of the most prestigious international beauty events that focuses on environmental issues. This year the Miss Earth selection event was held for the 23rd time involving 85 finalists from various countries, including Indonesia.
Indonesia is represented by Cindy Inanto who was sent through the Mahakarya Duta Pesona Indonesia (MDPI) Foundation. The good news is, at the grand final event which took place on Friday (22/12/2023) in Van Phuc City, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, this girl from North Sumatra managed to make a proud achievement for Indonesia.
At the beginning of the grand final event, the jury immediately announced the names of the 20 best finalists who deserved to advance to the next round. Amazingly, Cindy Inanto managed to be part of the top 20 automatically thanks to her success in winning the ‘Miss People’s Choice’ title.
Not only did she stop at the top 20, Cindy managed to break into the top 12 after presenting her performance in the evening gown session. This is the best achievement ever achieved by Indonesian representatives in the history of the Miss Earth event.
Previously, the best achievement of Indonesian representatives at the Miss Earth event was recorded by Monica Khonado who brought Indonesia’s name to the top 20 in 2021. That way, Indonesia has achieved placement twice while participating in the Miss Earth event.
